We LOVE our Sandbox Parent Portal because it allows us to stay in constant communication with all of our families. Sandbox has helped us streamline billing and communication so that families stay up to date on what their little ones are doing and how our facility is operating.
During the registration process, families will get signed up for parent portal via an email invitation. From the email link, families can set up their account and create a password. Families can also download the new Sandbox Parent portal app on any smart phone.
One of the best aspects of our parent portal is the daily log feature. Daily logs are completed for all children under 3 years of age. These logs are kept up to date by each teacher and can even be set up to be emailed to parents at the end of the day.
Each family's newsfeed will contain helpful information for all of our families. The news feed contains important information sent out by the facility and the classroom in regard to classroom activities and facility policies. The other amazing thing about each parent's newsfeed is that teachers will upload the classroom's lesson plan each week so that families can assist with learning at home and know what is happening within the classroom setting. Teachers also post children's photos often on Sandbox newsfeed. This is only viewable to children within the classroom.
Sandbox also tracks attendance on parent portal. Upon arrival, teachers will check all students in. Parents can set their account up to automatically email them upon drop off and / or pick up. Sandbox makes tracking attendance a breeze because it is done automatically.
